End of the Year Athletics Banquet

Various athletes from each sport will be recognized for their sportsmanship, dedication, school spirit, and athletic achievement. Corpus Christi College Preparatory High School Athletics Banquet is a semiformal event in celebration of all student athletes. 


CCCPHS Athletic Awards

Most Valuable Player - “The man or woman judged to be the outstanding player in a sport during a particular season.”

Hurricane Award - “Recognizes individuals on their team who promote the values of sportsmanship, ethical play in competition, commitment to their team.”

Coach’s Award - “Given annually by the coach to their athlete who best demonstrates, throughout the season, the true spirit of Hurricane’s Athletics. An award in which the means justify the end. It is given not only for hard work and personal improvement, but for a willingness to understand, to learn, to enter into a partnership with coach and teammates in an effort to recognize one's full potential. The recipient of this award has participated in the struggle, each and every day, and in the end found over their own limitations.”


Select Student Athletes will be invited to a banquet at the end of the year. This banquet will include a meal, recognition certificate and awards ceremony.

Qualifications to be invited: 

  • Athletes must participate in one of the following school sports: 
    • Boys or Girls Volleyball 
    • Boys or Girls Basketball 
    • Boys or Girls Track and Filed 
    • Girls Softball 
  • Athletes must participate fully (meets all sales requirements) in at least one athletics fundraiser. 
    • Athletes that do not meet this requirement will have the opportunity to purchase a meal ticket. Prices will depend on caterer and location of event. 
  • Athletes will become ineligible to receive recognition if: 
    • The athlete does not maintain passing average in courses during season. 
    • The athlete is removed from the team by Coach or Administration.  
    • The athlete must have finished the sports seasons in good standing and completed the entire season.


Parents and guardians are welcome to attend, but will be required to purchase a meal ticket.
